Rosa 'Scepter'd Ilse' (Ausland) David Austin Rose

ROSA 'Scepter'd Isle' is a vigorous and disease-resistant rose, bearing handsome, old-fashioned blooms with a powerful myrrh fragrance. Flowers  are a lovely light pink, becoming paler on the outer petals, with yellow stamens in the centre. It forms an elegant, upright shrub, its blooms held gracefully above the foliage. Its ideal for growing in a mixed, sunny border, where it will flower for months on end. The name is taken from John of Gaunt’s speech, expressing his love for England, in Shakespeare’s Richard II.
